- You have to know Where to get it. (1 Kings 3:9)
James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
- You have to Apply it. (1 Kings 3:16-28)
Proverbs 18:17 - The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

Five Principles for Making Wise Decisions in "Grey Areas": (1 Corinthians 6-8-10)
- Is it Permissible ? (1 Cor 6:12)
1 Cor 6:12 - "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be dominated by anything.
- Is it Beneficial ? (1 Cor 6:12)
- Is it free from possible Addiction ? (1 Cor 6:8-10)
- Is it free from causing a brother to Stumble ? (1 Cor 8:12-13)
1 Cor 8:12-13 - Thus, sinning against your brothers and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.
- Is Glorifying to God? (1 Cor 10:31)
1 Cor 10:31 - So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Prov 8:11 - ...wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her.
