  1. Review the "problem people" in verse 14. Have you had a tendency to treat all "problem people" the same? If so, how can you grow in this area?
     
  2. Describe the difference between being thankful FOR all circumstances and being thankful IN all circumstances (v18). Give examples.
     
  3. How do people quench the Spirit (v19)? How do people grieve the Spirit (Ephesians 4:30)?

  2. Is Paul directing these verses about "living in peace" towards the church leaders or the church members? Why do you think that is?
     
  3. What causes churches to lose the peace? How can your small group help prevent that?

  1. Do you ever fear God's judgment? Has this passage changed your outlook?
     
  2. What are the differences Paul uses to contrast God's people / the world? Explain what they mean.
     
  3. In verse 11, Paul said this section is to encourage one another. How does this teaching on the Day of the Lord encourage believers? How does it encourage you personally?
