Filtering by: Knowing Jesus
Most of us (if not all of us) have really messed up at some point. Knew better, but completely blew it. Knowing Jesus forgives, but wondering if He would ever use you again.
That’s where Peter finds himself at the end of John. And for those of us who royally blew it, there’s a word of encouragement for us, too.
Join us Sunday for Knowing His Restoration.

The Lamb of God laid down His life. The sign was made, His clothes were divided, His mother provided for. Just one more thing to do before He dies. Then it is finished.
Join us for an extremely profound event, as a request for a drink tells you more than you’d realize about the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is it.
Jesus came to save us from our sin. To bring peace with God. To provide our access to heaven.
But the path of that mission can only go through the cross. The graphic testimony of the wickedness of man. The horrible agony of the wrath of God. The incomparable love of a merciful Savior.
We will be spending 3 weeks looking at John’s description of the worst - and best - thing that has ever happened: the sacrifice of the Lamb of God.
See you Sunday!

Pilate has said, “Not guilty”. But the Jewish leaders won’t be satisfied until Jesus is dead. Even beating and humiliating Him isn’t enough. He must be crucified.
Just as God intended.
Join us Sunday for Knowing His Reproach.

Pilate rightly gets a bad rap, but there is one thing you can give him credit for: he asked the right questions. His problem was he didn’t care about the answers, so he ordered the execution of the innocent Son of God.
Join us Sunday as we see a trial. But is it Pilate putting Jesus on trial, or Jesus putting Pilate on trial?

Centuries before Jesus was rejected by Israel, Isaiah the prophet said the Messiah would be rejected by Israel. He specifically says “God blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts…” (John 12:40)

So much of the Gospel is contrary to natural human thinking. Life comes from death. Loving your life means losing it. Hating your life means keeping it.
In response to the Triumphal Entry, Jesus lays down some hard truths. Following Jesus costs you nothing, but it costs you everything.
We’ll see you Sunday for Knowing His Call.

John chapters 5-12 have seen repeated waves of opposition against Jesus. How could He possibly succeed when so many powerful people wanted Him dead? But Jesus’ “Triumphal Entry” into Jerusalem was only the beginning of the events that led to His ultimate victory. Knowing Jesus means knowing that, no matter how things look in the moment, He will triumph - and so will the citizens of His Kingdom.
