God’s goal is to make you just like Jesus. Are you committed to that process? Do you know how far that will really take you, what that will call you to do? Are you sure that’s what you really want?
What does it mean to truly know, and follow, Jesus?

John 12:44-50 sort of sums up everything Jesus said during His ministry. So if these are the "high points", we had better pay close attention to every single Word of God.

Centuries before Jesus was rejected by Israel, Isaiah the prophet said the Messiah would be rejected by Israel. He specifically says “God blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts…” (John 12:40)

John chapters 5-12 have seen repeated waves of opposition against Jesus. How could He possibly succeed when so many powerful people wanted Him dead? But Jesus’ “Triumphal Entry” into Jerusalem was only the beginning of the events that led to His ultimate victory. Knowing Jesus means knowing that, no matter how things look in the moment, He will triumph - and so will the citizens of His Kingdom.

We are moving from knowing about Jesus to knowing Jesus. And the way we know Him is through His Word.
The only way you will ever truly know Jesus personally is if you embrace His “value” - recognizing what He is worth, and embracing what He is worth to you. Do you value Jesus? Or do you merely pretend to? John 12 will give us a reflection of our hearts. Join us!
God is in control. Even when a wicked man says a terrible thing, God (in His providence), uses it for His purpose. How is that even possible?!

Here’s one we can all memorize: John 11:35 - Jesus wept.
And these two words speak loudly of a God who not only walked among us but cried with us. Why would an all knowing, all powerful Person weep? The answer may move you to tears, too.

It’s one of the most well-known miracles of Jesus. Five thousand men (plus women and children) were fed by Jesus, using the sack lunch of a little boy. But there’s a lot more going on here than a fish sandwich picnic. This passage says a lot about what you give to God… and what He gives to you.

It's hard to fathom, considering the Gospel message WHY someone would still refuse Jesus. How can this be? In John 5, He tells us.
Also: Jesus made some incredible claims about Himself. But even God in the Old Testament said you need two or three witnesses to confirm a matter. Jesus claims to be God - says who? Well, according to Jesus, there are three irrefutable witnesses that confirm Who He is.
