July is Guest Speaker Month! Four men from our church will be bringing God’s Word each Sunday: Justin Cady, Rich Sprunk, Ryan Stroupe, and Mike Wolski.

Each man has prepared a challenging and convicting message from God’s Word, and you won’t want to miss a single week!

Dan Thompson will be bringing a message from God’s Word that I am almost certain you’ve never heard before! Dan and his wife Alicia have been with HBCPN since before day 1, and they serve the Lord faithfully leading Youth Group, hosting one of our Small Groups, and serving in many other areas. Dan always delivers the Word, so come ready to be challenged!

This is also our first Sunday back in our newly renovated space - so you just have to join us to celebrate!

Every single believer struggles with sadness and depression to some degree. Thankfully, the Bible has a lot to say about spiritual depression, where it comes from, and how we should deal with it. This Sunday, we are going to dig into Psalm 42 which beautifully and honestly presents how we can find hope in the midst of feeling hopeless.

Let's be honest: how much effort have you been putting into your walk with Christ? Though Christ purchased our salvation, the Bible says we are to "make EVERY effort" to add certain things to our faith. If your walk with Christ has been weak, maybe you haven't been adding these things. And maybe joining us Sunday is the biggest step you can take in your walk with the Lord.

It's the most important test you will ever take, because at the end of the day, at the end of your life, you don't want to roll the dice on this, or worse yet, be self-deceived (as the Bible says we are all susceptible of being).

Steven, his wife Christy, and their five children live in Greensburg, PA where they will be planting a church in 2019. Steven is currently an associate pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel Pittsburgh East.  He served as Lead Pastor of One Savior Church in Guyton, GA for eight years before moving to PA three months ago. Steven is a lover of coffee, theology, basketball, and the Andy Griffith Show.

When we think of the Garden of Eden our minds often go to the obvious things: sin, fall of man, judgment, curse... all of those truly miserable results of the events of Genesis 3. But when you take a closer look, you will see that despite all of the evil, God shows up with lavish grace upon grace.

On Father's Day, June 20th, 2004, I witnessed the unexpected death of my father.  Nine short days later, I experienced an even more devastating loss - the tragic death of my precious 17-year- old son in a horrific motorcycle accident.  "Troy-boy" was the youngest of our four children, and the last one at home.  Words can't begin to describe the excruciating pain I felt that day.  But where grief abounded, God's Grace abounded more!!!  Thanks to the foundation of God’s Word, I ans my family were marvelously sheltered from that wicked storm of grief.  In fact, we not only faced that tragedy, but we rose above it.  And whatever the loss or tragedy in your life, you can too!! I strongly encourage you to come and learn the six Biblical principles that will enable you to victoriously deal with any despair that has come or will come into your life. We live in a day where the Word of God is being shifted and changed to fit our worldview. We start with our feelings and our personal struggles and then figure out a way to bring God's Word into it. One way that many have done this is with the topic of Homosexuality. To have a true Biblical understanding of this topic, we must start with asking ourselves what does the Bible say about Homosexuality before we bring all our presuppositions to the table. Once we discover what the Bibles says about Homosexuality, then we can look at what our stance should be in this world. I pray you will join us on July 30th as we dive into God's Word and find the truth about this controversy issue in our world today. 

The Lord grabbed Jeremiah’s heart at a young age. Growing up in church with his dad serving as a full-time evangelist, he knew early on that he was meant to be in ministry. With a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Northland University and an M.A. in Religion from Liberty University, he pursued the calling from the Lord to be a pastor and plant a church. Jeremiah was ordained in 2005 and served as a youth/ college/recreation pastor for five years. He encourages the people of Harvest Pittsburgh East to “gather on Sunday to be fueled and then scatter throughout the week to light a fire in the city for the glory of God!” He has been serving at Harvest Pittsburgh East since 2013. Jeremiah and his wife, Stephanie, have five children: Karis, Titus, Elliana, Hadden, Sayla.

Mark Ort will be bringing the message for this Sunday, taking us back to the Old Testament for a sermon entitled "Seeking God: Life Lessons from King Asa".

Mark, who is one of our Elders here at HBCPN, has a passion for photography, and spends a great deal of time reading biographies and theology books. He has worked as a systems analyst at a local steel producer for almost three decades. Mark is blessed with a beautiful family: his wife Kristin, three kids, Jack, Jesse and Livi, and a pooch named Reggie.

With over a decade of Real Estate experience, Alex began as an investor and at the market's peak in 2006 owned 11 properties including his personal residence. The bubble burst and hit his family hard, but they regrouped and carried on with a No Debt Philosophy thanks to discovering the teachings of Dave Ramsey. Alex and his wife, Stacie, began teaching Dave's course, Financial Peace University and to date have helped hundreds of people to pay off over a million dollars in debt. Alex and Stacie are members of Harvest Bible Chapel with their two teen boys, Christian and Samuel

Brandon Stephenson was born and raised in Butler, PA. He was a part of North Street Christian Church where Pastor Jeff used to serve. Brandon is married to his amazing wife, Danielle, and they have 3 boys: Noah, Drew and Coby. They are currently planting a new church in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh called One Church.

We have the great privilege to host a great speaker and teacher that oversees a family of over 20 churches in Northern Thailand (and beyond), as well as a Children's Home.
